Introduction to Quranic Arabic – Four Part Program
Ustadh Farid Dingle
إِنَّا أَنْزَلْناهُ قُرْآناً عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Indeed We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an so that you may apply reason.
Hear what some students are saying about their experience with this course:
“I find the Arabic course with Ustadh Farid to be very thorough in its content and I am able to follow the course easily due to the comfortable pace that is set. I am able to manage my time because the live session is only once a week and therefore I can organize myself to do my homework when it suits my schedule. Even after the first few classes of part 1 I noticed a difference when reading Quran; I was able to understand full sentences.”
– Rookaiya N.
“This four part course to assist in understanding The Quran in Arabic is excellent. It is based on an established course text with plenty of practice exercises to reinforce learning for rapid progress. The teacher, Ustadh Farid, clearly has expert knowledge of Classical Arabic and his delivery of live sessions and answering questions during them is wonderful. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anybody who yearns to start experiencing the beauty of the Glorious Quran.”
– Amir K.
“My 11 year old son is presently doing the Quranic Arabic course with Sh. Farid Dingle with some help from me for his homework. He is now close to finishing the second part of the (four part) program and can already translate directly more than 200 verses of the Quran (with some basic grammatical analysis for each one of them). Sh. Farid brings a lot of scholarship and nuance to the many Quranic words and verses which makes it a rich learning experience even for advanced learners of Arabic. At the same time, he has the ability to break down complicated concepts such that a beginner in Arabic, like my son, remains very engaged. The classes are very interactive, and my son rather enjoys them. We have both benefitted tremendously from the program so far. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to delve deeply into the language of the Quran.
JazakumuLlahu Khayr for your services.“
– Omar I.
In this four-part program, Ustadh Farid Dingle will cover all of the basics of the Arabic language and applying them to verses of the Holy Quran.
At-A-Glance
The program covers the basic grammar and structure of Arabic using Qur’anic words, phrases and sentences throughout. It is also based on the principle of word frequency in the Qur’an. It uses three Word Lists – with words occurring over 100 times, between 50 and 100 times and between 25 and 49 times in the Qur’an. This approach has two benefits. Users will not be burdened with a very large vocabulary from the outset, and with non-Qur’anic vocabulary. By mastering the select vocabulary, they will be able to understand much and quickly. The page layout and design of the book should make it easy to follow.
- A Kiflayn designed Arabic text (adapted from Access to Quranic Arabic) shall be covered over the 4 levels.
