Tajweed 101 – The Rules of Recitation

“إنَّ أصدقَ الحديثِ كتابُ اللَّهِ”

Course Overview

Recite the Quran as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him did, with this beginning four-week crash course covering the essentials of Tajweed. The course consists of four lessons over a span of a month, outlining the basic fundamentals of correct Quran recitation that every Muslim must know. This course is theory-focused, unlike our one-on-one tajweed classes, which are practice-based. The course shall cover the following Tajweed rules, which students should be able to consistently apply in their recitation in order to achieve a solid grounding in Quranic recitation.
