Digital Deception Authors

Dr. Amir Abdelzaher is an instructor and Head of Academics at Al-Madina Institute’s Suhba Seminary. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Miami in Environmental Engineering and taught at several universities before deciding to focus his energies on education for Muslim children. He has founded multiple Islamic schools, and has been studying and teaching the Islamic sciences for nearly two decades. He is also co-founder of Sagetree Foundation. He currently resides in Istanbul with family.

Arfan Qureshi is Senior Director of Talent & Organizational Development at the Campbell Soup Company, where he is responsible for the talent strategy, design, and execution. He has previously held senior learning, leadership, and organizational development roles at Comcast and the Hershey Company. Arfan has consulted internationally in the Middle East and Africa. He is also co-founder of Sagetree Foundation. He obtained his master’s degree in Change of Management Coaching and Consulting from a joint program between Oxford University’s Said Business School as well as HEC Paris’s School of Business. He also holds a master’s degree in Social and Personality Psychology from Michigan State University. His passion is parenting, child rearing, education, and Islamic spirituality. He resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.

Dr. Ahmed Howeedy is a Family Medicine physician in Boca Raton, Florida, where he serves as Chief Medical Officer for FHE Health, a Substance Use and Mental Health facility treating psychiatric and addiction disorders. He also serves as a Medical Review Officer and USCIS Civil Surgeon. Dr. Howeedy obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and his undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Miami. During his medical studies he pursued his studies in the Islamic sciences. Dr. Howeedy is also Managing Director for Sagetree Foundation. He is currently completing his degree in Islamic Jurisprudence and Legal Theory from Jamiat Al-Ulum Islamiyya al Alamiyya in Amman, Jordan. He currently serves as board member, teacher, and youth instructor at the Islamic Center of Boca Raton.
