Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh dear students,

Welcome to Introduction to Quranic Arabic level 1.

I look forward to meeting everyone in our first class on Saturday, February 17th, inshaAllah and I pray you find the course beneficial and enjoyable.

In our first class I will explain how the course works and give you some study tips. My most important tip, which you will hear me say many times, is to relax and enjoy your learning. Learning a language, especially Arabic, can get overwhelming but if you keep it simple, and keep making duaa to Allah subhanu wa ta’ala, it is very rewarding.

A few things to note:

– Attendance is mandatory and amounts to 25 % of your final grade. The weekly vocab quiz is 25% and the final exam is 50%. You need a passing grade of 75 % to progress to level 2.

Please note that sitting for the final exam is built upon attendance. Students who miss too many live classes will not be able to sit for the final exam.

– To make your online learning experience as good as possible I prefer we all have our cameras on during class as much as possible. Please sit in a place where you can have your camera and mic on without disrupting or being disrupted by your household members.

– I will start a telegram group for us after our first class inshaAllah. I will explain the purpose of the group and how we will use it in class.
