Dua When Apprehending Harm from People

We relate from the Sunans of Abū Dāwūd and an-Nasā’ī with ṣaḥīḥ isnāds from Abū Mūsā al-Ash‘arī , that when the Messenger of Allah  apprehended harm from people he said: “O Allah, we make You responsible for their slaughter and we seek Your protection from their evil.

اللهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِم، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن شُرُورِهِم.

“Allāhumma innā naj‘aluka fī nuḥūrihim, wa na‘ūdhu bika min shurūrihim.
