Mohamed Elcott


Born in Cairo, Egypt and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Ustadh Mohammed graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on MIS. As he had been studying the Reliance of the Traveller with Ustadh Amr Calipha while finishing his degree, he was inspired to continue his studies. Ustadh Mohammed attended the Rihla intensive and went to Spain for a month where he studied Arabic grammar, Shafi’e Fiqh, Tajweed and other sciences.

In 2003, he left his career and relocated to Amman, Jordan to study Arabic at Qasid Institute. He also started studying other Islamic sciences with teachers such as Sheikh Akran Abdul Wahhab, Sheikh Ali Hani, Mustafa Azzam, Dr. Ahmed Hassanat, and others. He studied Shafi’e Fiqh, Usul and Arabic morphology.

Ustadh Mohammed currently resides in Amman, Jordan with his family and wife, Ustadha Shan El Adly, and works in the IT field.
