Biography

Ustadha Sawsan is an Egyptian student of knowledge and teacher with more than 14 years of experience. She completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at Cairo University and is a current student in the Hanafi college of The World Islamic Sciences & Education University in Jordan, where she studies Quran sciences, Hanafi fiqh, grammar, and morphology. She is also a student at the Ibn Hamouda Quran institute in the UAE.

In 2003, she began her Shariah studies at the reputable Dar-al Hosary Institute, Cairo. She went on to study Shafi’e Fiqh, Hanafi Fiqh, Tajweed, Arabic and other Islamic sciences with esteemed teachers in Egypt and Jordan of the likes of Sheikh Ashraf Muneeb, Ustadha Hedaya Hartford, Sheikh Musa Furber, Ustadh Sohail Hanif, Ustadha Umm Sahl and others.

Ustadha Sawsan acquired her Ijaza (certification) in Tajweed in the narration of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim from Sheikh Sulayman Van Ael in 2009.
