The Messenger of Allah put on his armor. There was no going back . . .

Quraysh planned to attack Medina, in retaliation for their defeat at the Battle of Badr. Fear spread in the city that their army would attack at any time. The Prophet ﷺ started preparing an army for battle. He ﷺ positions each soldier according to his strengths, thus forming the foot soldiers, cavalry, archers, and night guard. During this event, we see the Prophet’s role as a military leader and the effectiveness of his strategic planning. In any battle, the army’s leader was the cornerstone. This was especially true in the case of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, upon whose shoulders the entire matter of Islam rested.

On the eve of battle, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had to consolidate between the tribes who made up his army, negotiate between factions, and keep his soldiers together ﷺ. Allah established them and made their fee firm. The real struggle lay ahead.
