Course Overview

This is a beginners course covering the basics of theoretical Tajweed.

This is a self-paced course in which students are required to listen to all the recorded lessons in their own time. Students should inform their teacher in their one-on-one sessions that they have started the course and come to them with any questions they have about the lessons.  

This course is mandatory for Kiflayn Tajweed students in Levels 1, 2 and 3 before they can progress to Levels 4 and 5 (unless they have studied these topics before and can pass the Kiflayn test).

Introduction to Tajweed (Definition, Legal ruling, levels of reading. Etiquette of reading and the Narration of Hafs ‘An Asim)

Rules of Isti’adha and Basmalah

Rules of Silent Nun and Tanween, Rules of doubled Nun and Meem

Rules of Silent Meem

Rules of Prolongation (mad)
