Tajweed Theory Level 1
Course Overview
This is a beginners course covering the basics of theoretical Tajweed. This is a group course that is offered regularly. It is an interactive course in which the teacher asks students to identify the rules and show examples from the Quran. This is very effective in understanding the rules and developing the skill of identifying them in one’s recitation, therefore attendance is mandatory. An assessment is given at the end of the short-course to determine student aptitude and comprehension of the concepts.

Female Students and MenstruationÂ
At Kiflayn, along with other Islamic institutes around the world, we follow the Maliki position which allows women during their menses and lochia to recite the Quran for the purpose of teaching, studying and revising. It is best to avoid touching the mushaf or the Quranic verses while on menses, if you are not Maliki, and use phones or tablets with covers instead.
