One-on-One Tajweed Level 1: Tajweed Applied

Course Overview
Learn to correctly recite Sura al-Fatiha and Suras al-Qar’ia to al-Nas, through an unbroken chain of transmission from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
You shall have two 25-minute private lessons with your instructor each week, and shall need headphones and a microphone to recite into. You must pass the course in order to progress on to the next level. It is normal for students to take the same level multiple times before attaining a pass.
Syllabus
Sura al-Fatiha and Surahs al-Qari’a to al-Nas.
The course shall cover the following Tajweed rules, which students must be able to consistently apply in their recitation in order to pass course:
- Weeks 1, 2 and 3: The rules of fatha, damma, and kasra
- Weeks 4 and 5: The rules of silent nun
- Weeks 6 and 7: The rules of tanween
- Weeks 8 and 9: The rules of silent meem
